Facebook Has Announced the Removal of Some Ad Targeting Categories

Facebook is in a trouble with the privacy of users for a long time. Now, Facebook officials try to overcome Facebook’s notoriety. Therefore, Facebook has announced that “Starting January 19, 2022 we will remove Detailed Targeting options that relate to topics people may perceive as sensitive, such as options referencing causes, organizations, or public figures that relate to health, race or ethnicity, political affiliation, religion, or sexual orientation.”

In other words, you won’t be able to target your ads based on topics like ‘World Diabetes Day’ or other health causes, nor will you be able to hone in on elements related to sexual orientation, political beliefs, etc.

The removal of those categories will debilitate advertisers’ targeting.

WhatsApp Is Working on New Community Feature

WhatsApp is reportedly developing a new Communities feature. WhatsApp Communities is likely to be a new place where group admins may have more control over groups on WhatsApp, mainly to group other groups easily. With the development, admins can create and manage subgroups inside the main groups. The time of change is not declared.

WhatsApp Rolls Out Desktop Editor Feature

WhatsApp has announced one new feature for the web version of the app as well as the mobile version whereas two new features have been launched for the mobile app. The Desktop Photo Editor is a very important feature that the messaging app has announced. The feature lets users edit images on their desktop app before sending them.

Instagram Is Planning to Launch a Paid Subscription Model

The paid subscription model for Instagram appeared on the agenda a long time ago. Even if there is no information about the price of subscriptions, it is known that the maximum price will not extend $99.99 per month. With this model, Instagram aims content producers to earn money from Instagram. In this way, the number of quality content will increase on Instagram.
